• If you want to make a Ropy Soap, start by carefully cutting off a section of loofah. You can get loofahs from most chemists, quite cheaply.• Next, thread a piece of coloured ribbon or cord through the piece of loofah. Tie a knot at the top so that you can hang it up when it's finished. • Place the piece of loofah in the centre of a square piece of cling film, like this. • Then take a cup or mug which is bigger than the slice of loofah. Push it down to the bottom, taking care to keep it central. Make sure the cord or ribbon is hanging over the edge and then wrap the excess cling film around the outside of the cup or mug. • Carefully chop up some glycerin soap into small chunks, using a blunt knife.
