Here's a great game you can make.

The idea is to get as many of your flies into the web as possible, and the winner is the person who gets their fly closest to the spider!
To make the game you'll need to get hold of two fly swatters and four 75cm lengths of garden cane.
Start by filling two recycled drinks bottles with sand.

Pop a garden cane in each, like this.
Plug up the top of each bottle with modelling clay to stop sand from coming out if the bottle is knocked over.
Tie the other two canes horizontally to the two uprights to create a rectangular frame.
Now weave the web by using plenty of black wool. Tie the wool to one corner and keep weaving until you get a web shape.
When done, you'll probably still have some holes that are big enough for a fly to pass through.

So take some long pieces of wool, tie them to one side and weave through to the other side.
When the web is complete it'll look something like this.
Next, cut some green card with a zigzag edge at the top and wrap around each bottle, to look like grass.
The hungry spider is made from large and small polystyrene balls.

You can get these from craft shops.
Just pop a craft stick into the large polystryene ball, and slot the little polystyrene ball on.

Secure in place with a small amount of glue.
You can paint the spider any colour you like...
...and then add legs.

They're made from pipe cleaners, cut in half and bent into shape. Just bore a hole in the body with a sharp pencil and thread the pipe cleaners inside.
Add a pair of googly eyes to complete the effect!
The flies are made from small polystyrene balls. Paint some blue and some green (one colour for each player) then cover them in little strips of hook and look fastener, like this.

This will help them to stick to the wooly web.
If you like, add pairs of wings to each fly. These are cut from pieces of kitchen towel and are attached with sticky tape.

More googly eyes!
That completes the game. Have fun!
