For this 1 Minute Finger Tip, you'll need a juice carton, a pencil, scissors and a couple of compact mirrors.
If you haven't got any mirrors at home, you can buy them fairly cheaply in chemists.
Start the clock!
At the top of one side of the carton, use a pencil to make three holes in a diagonal line, like this.
Start at the top left corner of the box and head down towards the right.
| |
Make three more holes in the same way at the bottom.
Flip the carton over, so that the side that was on the table is now facing up.
Make two more sets of holes like before, but this time starting in the top right corner of the box, and heading down to the left.
| |
Take a look at the holes you made at the bottom of the carton. The holes in the corner of each side are either side of the face you now need to work on.
At the bottom of this side of the carton, make four holes in the shape of a rectangle.
On the opposite side to this one, make four more holes in the shape of a rectangle - this time at the top of the carton.
| |
The holes you've made, are all to help you cut the box. Cut out the rectangle at the top of the box.
Do the same at the bottom of the carton.
| |
Then cut down all the diagonal lines.
Finally slide the mirrors into the diagonal slots that you've just cut.
Phew! Naomi only just managed to do this one within a minute!

For the finishing touch, add a cut out of a secret agent.

It's your very own Finger Tips Spy Periscope - very useful for seeing over high things.
| |
To make the periscope work as well as possible the two mirrors must be placed at exactly the same angle.
To do this, before you make the holes, cut a piece of card into a triangle shape and mark out where the holes will go.
Use the same piece of card to mark out where the holes will go at the top.
| |
When you look in the mirror at the bottom, you're seeing the image that's reflected in the mirror at the top.
That's why you can see Stephen's eye in ths picture.
You could make a footballer periscope for seeing over people's heads at football matches.
The one with a giant eyeball is attached to a kitchen foil box for extra nosey people!
