This 1 Minute Finger Tip requires some stick glue, a ruler, a marker, a pair of scissors, a piece of A4 card and a knitting needle.
Remember that you can time yourself on the pop-up Finger Tips timer. The big question is - can you beat Fearne's studio time of 58 seconds?
First - use the ruler to draw a diagonal line from the bottom left corner of the card, as you can see opposite.
| |
Then adjust the position of the ruler and draw a vertical line that joins up with the top point of the first line, and continues right down to the bottom edge.
Again, just like the one you can see opposite.
Carefully cut out the thin triangle shape with the scissors.
| |
Now wrap the triangle of card around the knitting needle.
Try to keep it centred.
Add a little stick glue to the end of the wrapped card, and stop the clock!

You've made a speed bead!
Just thread it onto some string or leather and wear it round your neck for instant hippiness!
If you've got more than a minute, you could make a whole necklace from different sized speed beads, like this.
Doesn't it look great?
| |
Or how about this earring?
It's made with speed beads cut from purple, green and silver paper and is attached to an earring fitting which you can buy from most craft shops.
And check out this hair braid. It's attached to a hair clip and is made with magazine cuttings to give a more interesting coloured effect.
| |
If you make big speed beads you could even make a belt with tassles...
...and finally, this bracelet looks great, doesn't it?
It's made in exactly the same way - except the speed beads are threaded onto some elastic.
