Once you start playing this game, you won't want to stop!

The aim is to fire rockets from the catapult and aim to get them through the black hole. Whoever gets the most through wins the game!
To make the Cosmic Catapult, start with a large piece of card.

The ramp is made by sticking two empty tissue boxes side by side, two thirds into the sheet of card.
Next you need another piece of card, about two thirds the size of the first one.

Stick it on top of the tissue boxes, like this, to make the ramp.
The elastic launcher is made by snipping some elastic bands in half.
Make a row of holes, evenly spaced, at the base of the ramp.
Secure the pieces of elastic band in place with a paper fastener. Lie the elastic band down flat, pop some modelling clay underneath and push the paper fastener through both the elastic band and the card.

Open the paper fastener out to secure in place.
Now you can test the launchers!

Ping!
Number the launch pad and decorate the ramp with planets and stars cut from shiny card.
The black hole is made from another big piece of card with a circular hole cut into it, about the shape of a dinner plate.

It must also have two slits in one side, like the ones you can see here.
Decorate with more planets and stars and add a black ring around the hole, since it's a black hole!
The stand is made from two rectangular pieces of card, each with a slit...
...so that they can be slotted into the piece of card which has the black hole, and that it stands up.
The cosmic catapult rockets are made by cutting out two triangle shapes from thick cardboard.

It's very important that they're the same size. Just cut a slit in the top of one and the bottom of the other, like this...

...so that they slot together.
The nose cone is made from a semi circle of coloured card, folded into a cone shape and secured in place with tape.
Pop some sticky tack in the bottom - this will help stick the two parts together.
Now you can paint the rockets any colour you like.
Next you need a cardboard box positioned behind the black hole to catch the rockets.

Paint the inside black and decorate the outside.
And that's it - you can now play with it!

Have fun, but watch out where those rockets end up!
