Here's another fantastic Party Finger Tip idea - a Chamber of Doom Party!
If you've got a party coming up and like the sound of our idea, why not decorate with cobwebs?

These are just made from pieces of string dipped in PVA glue and painted when dry.

More information can be found on the Ghostly Golf page...
You could make jungle vines by tying tissue paper leaves onto lengths of rough string.
Why not add in a few paper snakes?

They're just made from a circle of thick paper cut into a spiral and decorated with glitter and sequins.
These bugs are made from plastic pots, decorated with sweet wrapper wings and pipe cleaner legs.
For food ideas, these sausage fingers will gross your guests out.

They're hot dog sausages with fingernails cut from red peppers and wrinkly knuckles.
These eyeball cakes are made with white icing and topped with red piping icing to look like eyeballs.
...and these spider cakes have liquorice legs!

Eww!
Pear rats can easily be made from half a sliced pear with button ears and currant eyes.
...and sandwiches cut into the shapes of snakes are another delicious ideas.
For a great cake, how about a chocolate temple covered in green icing leaves and rats?

Finger Tips would like to thank Renshaw Scott for supplying the sugar paste used in deocrating the cakes.
Get your guests to dress in hats...
...khaki explorer gear...
..and they could even have skipping ropes for whips! .
For the centrepiece, why not make the Keeper of the Key game? It's fun to make and will really complete the effect for your Chamber of Doom party.

Illuminate it with the Flaming Torch made in a previous programme.
It's a themed lucky dip where players have to bravely pop their hand inside, through the snakes and yukky stuff, and pull out a key.
If they match the key that's shown on the treasure chest, they get to open it up and take their pick of the goodies inside!
To make the Keeper of the Key game, you need to get hold of a box with a lid for the base.

You may be lucky to find a shoe box that's big enough.
Next, grab a yoghurt pot that's big enough to fit your wrist into...
...and draw around it onto one of the long sides of the box.
Cut out a circle that's slightly smaller than the one you've drawn.
Now, carefully cut off the base of the yoghurt pot, so that you can put your hand through it.
Slot it into place in the side of the box, in the hole that you made.
Secure it in place with sticky tape.
Replace the lid and secure that in place too, again with more sticky tape.
To make the keepers of the monument, get a selection of milk cartons.

Here you can see a large 6 pint carton, two 2 pint cartons and two more 1 pint cartons.
Turn the base box upside down and make a few holes near the middle of the base.
Take a pair of scissors and use those holes to make a few snips, like this.
Take the neck of the large milk carton and push it into the hole you made with the slits.

It'll stay in place.
Repeat the process so that you can add the other milk cartons in the same way.
Stick the milk cartons together with sticky tape so that they stay in place.
Fill in the gaps around the handles with paper maché, to create nose shapes.
For the eyes, take a piece of kitchen roll and scrunch it into a ball.

Dip into some PVA glue and water...
Squeeze out the excess and stick the eye into position.

Of course, you'll need one on either side of each nose.
Cover the whole thing in strips of kitchen roll pasted on with PVA glue and water.

The kitchen roll will give it a textured stone effect.
Leave to dry overnight, and then you can paint.

This one's been finished with a sandy stone colour.
Add detail like paper vine leaves...
...creepy crawlies...
...and some tempting jewels, as forgotten treasure!
Now you can add in the contents.

How about plastic insects...
...balloons part filled with water.

These feel particularly horrid when you don't know what they are!
Plastic snakes are particularly good. Pop them part way in, so that players will have to touch them as they put their hand inside.
Make keys from circles of cardboard with different designs on each. Pop these inside too.
Remember to make a double of one of the keys, and stick this to the front of the chest.

To make the chest, get hold of a large shoe box or any box with a lid.

Attach the lid to the base along one side only so that it becomes hinged.

Find a large sheet of card and curve it over the lid, and stick in place along the front and back.
Stand the chest on its end and draw around the shape onto card.

Cut out the shape twice and stick to either end (just like the US Mailbox. Decorate in a wood colour with gold straps.

Fill it with goodie bags, chocolate gold coins or more snakes and creepy crawlies.
